SOBER LIVING

       ENVIRONMENTS

                           (TRANSITIONAL HOUSING UNITS)

For years CAPS has had clean and sober homes for those clients who need support and structure in their recovery program. Our transitional housing units (THU) and the sober living environments (SLE) are interchangeable phrases.

Often clients who complete a residential program need a transitional home situation while looking for employment or saving money for an apartment.  This is also an ideal situation for clients who are attending outpatient and want a clean and safe living environment. The homes are gender specific and are certified by Santa Clara County.

The homes are within walking distance of public transportation and numerous 12-step meetings.  They are completely furnished with shared sleeping rooms, cable TV, VCR, DVD player, house phone, free washer and dryer, and everyone has full kitchen privileges. There is an on-site house manager and off-street parking.  Residents are expected to attend outside support groups of their choice and are required to participate in housekeeping chores and to be actively involved in job search if they are unemployed.

Rent is $500.00 a month and a $100.00 non-refundable processing fee.
